Re-Introducing Drinkable

It’s been a few months since we said goodbye to our first iteration, but it never did quite get a proper send-off:

DrinkableKC, originally a simple Facebook page that acted as a federated Facebook feed of Kansas City’s brewery updates, is no more. The decision came after increasing technical complexity and diminishing returns on effort spent to keep it going. Simply put, what little value it provided to you was outweighed by the time and money costs required to maintain its initial state, let alone nearly double it to the amount of breweries it would have now compared to its inception. 

We quietly celebrated our last post on July 1st of 2022 by unpublishing the page.

Out With The Old, In With The New

Now we celebrate in a new way—by providing the power to the patrons and the businesses with our latest creation: Drinkable.City. Our relaunch picks up where we left off, helping pair thirsty patrons with the craft brewery that best suits their tastes. Drinkable combines the common niche criteria one would wish to know about a brewery with a directory format, resulting in an easy-to-use catalog of local drinking establishments.

Even better: Businesses can take control of their listings and easily update their information as needed, ensuring patrons get the most accurate data on to-go formats, seating options, amenities, and more.

What Does This Mean for Businesses?

You’re able to easily control changes to your listing, create events, post job opportunities, and promote your business. By claiming your listing, you’re able to ensure patrons get accurate and up-to-date information about your business. With our optional premium plans, you can enhance your listing to stand out from the crowd, enable our staff to automatically update your info based on changes to your social media, and drive more patrons to your establishment.

You can trust that the information you’re seeing is current. For claimed listings, you know the information is coming directly from the business itself. We’re not just here for beer. Drinkable’s goal is to become the ultimate drinking directory by including wineries, distilleries, coffee shops, cocktail bars, and more! If you’ve got a thirst for a locally-crafted beverage, we aim to quench it. While our December 2022 relaunch focuses primarily on breweries, look for wineries and distilleries to be added as early as Spring 2023!
